José (@josevittone) is a UX designer based in Barcelona, Spain. For the last nine years, he has been specializing in both the conceptualization and the execution of digital products and services.
José has lent his skills to both small startups and multinational corporations, such as Telefónica, eDreams, O2 and Mozilla. As part of the worldwide Firefox OS team he worked on the visual design of new features for the dialer, messages and contacts. José is meticulous about creating interactive experiences and believes the smallest details make the biggest difference. He is always looking for simple, elegant, invisible design solutions.
He is also the co-author of Designing Mobile Apps along with Javier Cuello. The book was self-published in both Spanish and English, and outlines the entire design process of a mobile app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, from conception to launch.
Presentation: Solutions for tomorrow. How to be an up-to-date UX designer.
Abstract: How to survive a constant change in the digital context? As much as devices, OS’s features and interactions change, the golden rules of good design stay valid. We need to be informed more than ever, things change so fast and last too little. This talk is not about multi-device/OS design, but about sharing our strategies for being an up-to-day designer without getting crazy. I want to give some inspiration on how to adapt to what’s coming next.
